Deion Sanders has landed another rookie for the Colorado Buffaloes, this time flipping the top prospect in the 2023 class since early December.
Cormani McClain, the 5-star DB from Lakeland (Fla.), was slated to sign with the Miami Hurricanes but didn’t officially put pen to paper during the signing period — even though he had told reporters he would sign in Jan. 15.
This led many to wonder if he was weighing other options, which was reinforced when a screenshot from deleted youtube video leakedshowing what McClain looks like in a Buffalo uniform during his visit to Boulder.
Another image of Five-Star Plus+ Miami CB commit Cormani McClain visiting Colorado surfaced late last night on YouTube and was then quickly deleted.

And now the rumors and hazy details have been put aside, replaced by a clearer picture of McClain’s intentions and confirming what many had speculated:

This is another great success for Coach Sanders and the Buffaloes program – one Colorado’s highest-ranking commits to date— and the headliners create significant momentum after a sluggish 1-11 season: The roster now includes McClain along with Travis Hunter, the top corner in the 2022 class who made headlines when he left Jackson State to follow Sanders.
Pac-12 quarterbacks, beware.
