Jay Chandrasekhar Uses Revenge to Create New Review App - TechCrunch

Welcome back to Found, where we get the stories behind startups.

This week’s guest Shiv Rao founded Cut it short after experiencing how nerve-wracking it can be to go through a medical emergency with a loved one – even for a medical practitioner like himself. So he and the Abridge team created an app that doesn’t just transcribe a conversation between a doctor and a patient, but can summarize the important parts, extract next steps, and even define all the medical terms that were said so that the patient walks away with all the information they need. The same technology helps doctors take better notes and alleviate “pajama time” burnout by recording what happened during the appointment and synthesizing it into a format that is useful to the doctor. Darrell, Jordan and Shiv talk about the importance of making an impact in medicine at scale.
