Alibaba and other Chinese stocks rallied again.  There's no point.

Chinese shares rose on Monday as investors remained optimistic that coronavirus rules would be eased, despite repeated announcements by authorities that China would stay on course with a “zero Covid” policy.

Major US-listed Chinese stocks were higher in premarket trade, with

Ali Baba

(ticker: BABA) up 1.5%,

JD.com

(JD) 2% in green,

Tencent

(700.HongKong) climbed 2.9%, and

NIO

(NIO) jumps 3%. In trading in Hong Kong,

Hang Seng Index

jumped 2.7%, led by a 4.1% move higher in the Hang Seng Tech Index. Futures Tracking

S&P 500

the index rose 0.5%, by comparison.
