For the second week in a row, Texas commits Arch Manning and Isidore Newman Greenies headed to the locker room at halftime needing a return.

Anyway last week’s heroics were epic enough to make you think anything would be possible this week, but it ended up not being the case.

The sheer volume of the Tigers — a tough team ranked No. 1 in Louisiana’s Division 2A — was too much for the Greens to handle, especially at the line of scrimmage, where the defense was clearly dominant.

Here’s just a clip of USC commit Tackett Curtis getting into the mix and cutting off Manning’s effort.

The game wasn’t without a bit of late drama, however, as the Greenies got the ball back on a fourth down at the goal line, setting up a possible 99-yard drive with 76 seconds left — which would be The Moment of 2022 and likely get greenlit by Hollywood as a movie .

But it was the Tigers’ show tonight, led by a defense that once again shut down Arch and Newman’s offense on fourth down, giving the team its fourth win of the season.

Final score: Tigers 25, Greens 17.
