Arms race: Where the best quarterbacks are headed to play in college

As the summer approaches, college football’s top prospects will be in high demand. Those players are expected to sign in the early signing period and have seven months before deciding to sign their national letters of intent.

At the top of any recruiting class will be the quarterbacks. The top name last year was Arch Manning, and this year it’s Dylan Raiola. Both come from NFL bloodlines, but unlike his father, Dylan doesn’t play the same position.

Raiola and Elijah Brown are still undecided as far as the pledge is concerned. Raiola left Ohio State last December.

We check out the top quarterbacks in the 2024 class where they have shown promise.

1

Dylan Raiola, Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ)

The No. 1 overall prospect in the 2024 class was previously committed to Ohio State before reopening his recruitment. The Georgia Bulldogs appear to be the favorite to land him with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans in hot pursuit. His father, Dominique, was an All-American center at Nebraska and spent 14 years in the NFL.

2

Jadyn Davis, Providence Day School (Charlotte, NC)

The No. 2 quarterback in the class committed to Michigan on March 31, the Wolverines currently hold the No. 1 ranking in the class with 14 commitments according to the composite team rankings just ahead of Ohio State. Davis is the No. 28 overall prospect in the ’24 class.

3

Elijah Brown, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)

The No. 3 quarterback still doesn’t have a clear leader, but the Pac-12 is trying to keep him in the West. Arizona State, Stanford, UCLA and USC are getting looks from the Mater Dei product. Brown also has offers from Alabama and Georgia. He is a potential No. 33 overall pick.

4

Julian Sain, Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA)

The Crimson Tide have their next quarterback lined up with the commitment of four-star California shooting guard Julian Sayin. He is the No. 34 player in the country and the No. 4 player from California.

5

CJ Carr, Saline (Saline, MI)

The Irish received a huge boost to their 2024 class in June 2022 when the four-star quarterback committed to the program. He is No. 37 overall and No. 1 in the state of Michigan.
