Cedric Baxter Jr. on Cormani McClain: 'Nobody knows what he's going to do but him'

The Cormani McClain saga continues for another week. For now, McClain is immobile officially bound to Miamibut this relationship hardly seems to be on a stable footing.

When we last heard from McClain, he told reporters he would sign on Jan. 15. That date has come and gone, and there’s still no official move from the nation’s second-ranked rookie.

However, McClain has been busy and the latest news may be a sign of where he intends to play. On Friday, Miami’s coaching staff showed up in Lakeland, Fla., but McClain was nowhere to be found.

Then, over the weekend, McClain visited Colorado, and several photos of him wearing the No. 7 uniform surfaced on social media:

Several media outlets are now predicting this McClain will indeed join Colorado.

McClain is the No. 1 CB in the class of 2023. If he decides to sign with Colorado, he’ll join the top corner from last year’s recruiting class, Justin Hunter — who followed coach Deion Sanders from Jackson State.
