Global venture funding slowed in October, with valuations likely to blame

After especially slow summer, the mood in venture capital seems to have changed with the season come Labor Day. By the end of September, it felt like perhaps the worst was over in terms of declining venture funding numbers this year.

The volume of investment had stopped declining and was beginning to decline make the earth. Investors said anecdotally, it appears the market is really taking off regained momentum – especially in the early stages. But funding data in October showed the venture capital market still has a long way to go.
