Jackson is one of several four-star recruits to commit to the Gators this summer, and his upcoming visit will be his first as a committed member of Florida’s 2023 recruiting class. His unofficial visit won’t be his only stop in Gainesville this season. Jackson said Corey Bender of On3 he intends to take his official visit later this fall, with an eye toward LSU home match on 15 Oct.
Before committing to the Gators in July, the Under Armor All-American took three official visits chestnut (6/10), Penn State (6/17) and Tennessee (6/24). Taking into account his official visit to Gainesville in the fall, Jackson has just one official visit remaining, per NCAA rules. Jackson has not met with another program since his commitment.
Florida should be comfortable with Jackson’s commitment, regardless of where his final official visit is. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back has been very vocal since committing to the Orange and Blue in July, actively recruiting other prospects to join him in Gainesville next season. His relationship with the cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond and head coach Billy Napier is something Jackson said he values immensely in his conversation with Bender.
According to the On3 consensus, Jackson is the No. 20 cornerback in the country and the top-rated defensive back in Florida in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
