The Michigan HS baseball team's 84-game hitting streak was snapped, ending the longest streak in state history

The Orchard Lake St. varsity baseball team. Mary’s (Michigan) Eaglets had an incredible 84-game winning streak, which was the longest in Michigan State history – however, recently St. Mary’s lost back-to-back games against Grosse Point Woods Liggett University.

The losses cost the Eagles their longtime spot at the top of the state rankings. St. Mary’s was in first place for nearly four years, but the No. 1 spot in the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association state rankings is now occupied by 20-1 Northville, while St. Mary’s is second. Bay City Western is the last undefeated team in the state this season at 19-0.
