In the days following the game, several Colorado players entered the transfer portal, including promising wide receiver Jordin Tyson. The team also lost the commitment of one of its top-rated recruits.
Lafayette Christian Academy (Louisiana) four-star athlete Ju-Juan Johnson announced his decommitment from Colorado on Sunday night. He share the following message on his Twitter account:
“First and foremost, I would like the University of Colorado to believe in me. I would like to think of Coach Prime, Coach Corey, Coach Mathis and every other coach who continues to have a hand in my recruitment and belief in my abilities. After further thought, prayer and conversations with my family, I have decided to withdraw from the University of Colorado for the time being and re-open recruiting. Colorado is still the best school and will still be highly regarded as I continue to navigate this process. #SkoBuffs.”

At the college level, Johnson projected as a cornerback, so he may have felt marginalized by the arrival of Cormani McClain and Travis Hunterboth top CB prospects from the last two recruiting classes.
Johnson (5-foot-11, 178 pounds) is ranked No. 19 among athletes in the class of 2024 and sixth overall in the state of Louisiana.
Eighteen programs made offers to Johnson, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Florida State and LSU. For now, The On3 prediction model has LSU (74%) as the heavy favorite to land his commitment, with Colorado holding on at 23.5%.
