Apple is looking to move production out of China, the report said

accelerated plans to move some of its production out of China, home to the world’s largest iPhone factory, according to The Wall Street Journal they report, citing anonymous sources.

(ticker: AAPL) products elsewhere in Asia, particularly India and Vietnam, in an effort to reduce its reliance on Taiwanese assemblers led by Foxconn (2354: Taiwan), the Journal reports.

Foxconn

produces 70% of the world’s iPhone deliveries and is one of the largest electronics contractors in the world. Apple did not respond to Barron’s requests for comment.
