I chose Auburn because I feel Coach Bruce Pearl will prepare me for the next level, I liked the environment and the energy on campus with everyone. It made me feel like a second home.”

With a .9919 GPA, Pettiford (6-foot-1, 170 pounds) is the third-highest ranked recruit in program history. In the class of 2024, he is third among point guards and number 22 overall.

However, Coach Pearl wasn’t done yet. On Friday, the team added another high-profile prospect. Baker (Alabama) four-star point guard LaBron Fillon also declared for Auburn.

Fillon (6-foot-4, 177 pounds) is the top-ranked player in the state of Alabama. He is also ninth in his position and number 41 overall in the class.

Together, these two gave the Tigers’ recruiting rankings a big boost. While it’s still very early in the game, they are now ranked third in the country behind North Carolina and Baylor.
