The Illinois baseball team has had 3 games suspended for reported misconduct

Multiple California high school baseball teams lost their spots in the CIF Southern California regional playoffs despite qualifying. JSerra, Canyon and Yorba Linda decided not to participate in the tournament, which begins a week from today and runs through June 3.

According to Steve Fryer at Orange County Register, JSerra head coach Brett Kay says his players made the decision and he supports it.

“There’s only one dog… This is how the seniors want to end it and I’m like, ‘I’m rooting for you guys’… The seniors are out of school now and the underclassmen have finals this week. Everyone said there was no better way to go out.

Kay also said she wants to spend more time with her family.
