The East mounted an epic second-half comeback to win the 2023 All-American Game at McDonald’s, 109-106, behind a solid effort by MVP and Kentucky stalwart DJ Wagner.
Heading into the 4th quarter, the West led 85-78, buoyed by several standout performances, including Brony James, who knocked down five 3-pointers on the night.
In the end, however, the East converted from the line when the West did not, as Isaiah Collier missed an equalizing free kick late while Wagner sank his own. It was rebound luck from there, West missing a last-second layup at the rim for a potential game-tying shot.
