“Memorial Day 2023: Honoring the Sacrifice and Remembering the Heroes”
Remembrance Day is the most somber of national holidays, in which we remember all those who gave their lives for the government of the people, by the people and for the people; where by choice the people, even those in the highest offices, have consented to live under the rule of law; it will not disappear from the earth.
As the world witnesses revanchist authoritarian states preparing or even launching invasions against their neighbors, a revival of old Great Power politics, this year let me highlight a few resting places for those who gave their lives against such authoritarian militarism.
