LeBron James broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record earlier this week in the Lakers’ home loss to the Thunder.

Here’s the shot that crowned LeBron the NBA’s new scoring king.

After the game, in the locker room, his son Brony showed him the video he took of the hit.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about James’ accomplishment is the level at which he plays. Kareem was barely averaging 10 points per game his last year in the league and had been declining for some time.

James, meanwhile, just turned 38, but is still average over 30 points per game this season. So LeBron can continue to add to his record for a few more years. There’s a good chance that will happen, too — as James has said he’d like to play on Brony’s team once he (probably) makes it to the NBA.

Broney (6-foot-3, 190 pounds), however, still has another level to go through. He will have to decide on his college first.

James is currently the highest-ranked undrafted rookie (and number 33 overall) in the class of 2023. He recently confirmed this his top three schools are Oregon, USC and Ohio State.
